Fort Berens Estate Winery 'White Gold' Reserve, British Columbia
Readers rated this wine:
Golden, toasted, creamy.
The White Gold is made in the Fort Berens Lillooet winery from estate Chardonnay grapes, and it was aged in new French oak barrels for 6 months.
It is a rich gold in colour with notes of yellow apples, browned butter, roasted nuts, grilled lemons and plenty of toasty aromas. It is weighty, creamy and spicy in the mouth with attractive potency, balanced nicely by lifted freshness.
Pair: roast chicken, polenta with brown sage butter
